 The 15 lessons in this guide invite students to explore and understand the multicultural perspectives of the people that have shaped the United States. The guide highlights the struggles and accomplishments of five groups — African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, American Indians, European-Americans and Asian-Pacific Americans. Each of the 15 lessons is based on a USA TODAY article and includes discussion questions, an activity and a reproducible graphic organizer.
