Values are the principles, standards or qualities considered worthwhile or desirable by an individual or society. Look through today’s paper and identify examples of Americans’ social values. How important are factors such as education, equality and appearance to citizens? What other values are important? Which values tend to dominate American society? Which are less significant? Based on your analysis, decide whether you think Americans have commendable values or whether they should re-evaluate what’s important. Explain your answer in writing.
