Early last week, the House defeated the $700 billion bailout bill. Then, with several new additions to the bill, the "tweaked" bailout bill passed and was signed into law on Friday. Look through USA TODAY to find and read articles about the effects of the bailout bill passing. Then, create a two-column chart, label the first column "positive" and the second column "negative." In the columns, list the various social, financial and political repercussions of the new law. When finished with your chart, do a four-minute fast write, answering the following questions: Now that you begin to see the effects of the bailout bill, would you have voted to pass the bill? Why or why not?
